In the sequel, 'Ghostbusters 2' (1989), the Ghostbusters are struggling to get work as they find themselves being sued by municipal authorities. Finally, in 'Ghostbusters: Afterlife' (2021), following eviction, single mother Phoebe (Mckenna Grace) and her two children take refuge in her late father's derelict farmhouse in rural Oklahoma.
